King Saud Medical City clarified the most important information regarding the group of deciduous teeth, or the so-called “teething”, the beginning and completion of their appearance in children, and the symptoms accompanying their appearance.
The city indicated that the deciduous teeth are the first set of teeth to appear in the child gradually from the age of 6 to 7 months, and continue for him until their eruption is completed at the age of two and a half years, and the number is 20 years.
She noted that the symptoms of teething include the child’s discomfort, his feeling of pain, sleep disturbance, anxiety, restlessness, loss of appetite, drooling more than usual, swelling and redness in the gums where the tooth appeared, stressing the need to see a doctor in the event of a fever, diarrhea or skin rash.
