King Saud Medical City clarified the causes of infection with “lice”, how to treat and how to prevent it.
The city indicated that louse is a parasitic insect that does not have wings, lives in the scalp and hair, feeds on small amounts of blood, and leads to skin irritations.
She pointed out that its symptoms include frequent severe itching and the presence of lice eggs, and the causes of infection are direct head-to-head contact, and the sharing of tools.
She noted that its treatment is with a shampoo once morest lice, a solution to kill it, and a special comb for lice, provided that it is prevented by avoiding inspecting children’s hair in schools with the same tools as a ruler or a pen.
