News 24 | Passports told News 24: A special path for those registered in Absher Travel at the ports

The General Directorate of Passports revealed that a path will be allocated for those registered in the “Absher Travel” service at the King Fahd Causeway port, and the rest of the ports later when the service is implemented.

Passport spokesman Major Nasser Al-Otaibi said.News 24When the traveler arrives at the port, the vital characteristics are checked through the Nafath application.

He added that the service helps travelers to know the workload at the port (and does not require a prior appointment for travel), but rather it is a new way to suggest times that are not considered a peak and notify travelers of this during registration, and in the event that the beneficiaries desire and agree to that, travel is recorded.

He stressed that work will be done to develop the service and increase the routes for “Absher Travel” to facilitate citizens and give priority to transit through these routes at international ports for those who have previously registered.

Al-Otaibi indicated that “Absher Travel” aims to a large extent to verify the possibility of travel during pre-travel planning, and to notify the traveler if the validity of the travel document, national identity or passport is less than the approved period when traveling, and it also works to shorten the time of travelers through the port and spare them crowding in Peak times, as well as alerting travelers if they have security notes that impede their travel.

It is worth noting that the service can be used following updating the application, logging in, then choosing my services, then other services, Absher travel, creating a travel request, choosing the port through which you want to travel, the expected date and time of arrival, then choosing the travel document and vehicle, adding passengers, and reviewing Details of the application, and finally the approval of creating the application.
