News 24 | NASA praises a Saudi academy that discovered two zero-class stars and publishes its scientific research

Jazan University announced the success of Assistant Professor at the College of Science, Wafaa Zakry, in discovering two stars out of 3 of the “zero” category.

The US space agency “NASA” praised the findings of “Wafaa” in its scientific research related to this matter, stressing that this research is a major step forward that helps scientists know how stars form.

“Wafaa” stated that the first explosion of Ma’ani was discovered nearly a century ago, and it has rarely been seen since then, and due to the scarcity of information on how stars form in the zero category phase and accumulate their mass, the team decided to conduct a study on this phenomenon to increase the number of observed cases. and verify the hypothesis.

She added that she conducted this study on 92 stars of category zero in the Orion molecular cloud, which is known for the abundance of infant stars in it, noting that category zero stars are newly born stars and are the youngest stars in the stage of formation and formation until they become a full-fledged star.

She pointed out that she had discovered two stars out of 3 stars of the zero category located in the molecular cloud Orion, the “constellation of Orion”, and a possible explosion rate for the youngest stars was reached approximately once every 400 years, as each explosion lasts for approximately 15 years.

And she noted that the new research results proved that clouds of gas collapse to form a star, and this is actually the process of creating stars in real time, and therefore the study is a big step forward and helps astronomers know how stars form and accumulate their mass more clearly, so NASA praised it.
