The young Hattan Al-Jahdali, who rescued a woman whose car broke into the Jeddah waterfront and settled in the sea, revealed that coincidence led him to be on the Corniche to help save her, describing the incident as “terrifying.”
And last Friday, a woman rammed her car into the Jeddah waterfront and settled in the sea towards Al-Nawras Park.
Regarding the details of the incident, Hattan Al-Jahdali, a member of the “Saaed for Search and Rescue” association, told:News 24The incident was terrifying for all the hikers who dispersed in front of the woman, who crossed her car for about 7 meters, and then settled in the sea.
He continued, saying that the woman was driving her car very quickly and they did not know if there was a defect in her car or that what happened to her was a result of her confusion.
He pointed out that when he saw the woman settled in her car inside the sea, and before the car engine stopped, he rushed to her, and as soon as he reached her, he asked her to open the car door and get out, but she could not.
And he continued that he then tried to calm her down when he learned that she was not good at swimming, as he asked her to open the car window and get out of it before the car sank, as the water had not submerged it.
And Al-Jahdali indicated that the woman had already opened the car window, so he calmed her down, and called for other people to help him, so one of the young men actually rushed to him and helped him get her out of the car.
And that the security authorities arrived at that time, and the necessary measures were taken.
