The National Center of Meteorology stated that the Kingdom is not immune from extreme weather phenomena that have become an obsession for the countries of the world.
The CEO of the center, Dr. Ayman Ghulam, said that what the city of Jeddah was exposed to on November 24; A meteorological phenomenon that rises to the level of an “extreme situation” in relation to the amount of rain and the time factor.
And he indicated that the center will harness all its technical, technical and human capabilities to facilitate the task of the authorities working in the field with weather phenomena by providing the most accurate information that will achieve these authorities’ capabilities in carrying out their field and precautionary work.
He added that the center works with all concerned sectors to raise readiness by developing and updating the mechanisms used in such phenomena to enable the center to achieve its goals and raise the ability of the authorities to accomplish their plans and actions.
