The Ministry of Health has highlighted the serious health complications that may cause death in seasonal influenza patients.
The Ministry stated that a person with influenza may die from serious complications such as respiratory complications (pneumonia) and cardiovascular complications (heart attack and stroke).
She pointed out that these risks may particularly threaten the groups most vulnerable to infection, such as the elderly, people with chronic diseases, people with immunodeficiencies, children, and pregnant women, stressing the need to book an appointment to take the vaccine.
