The Ministry of Health clarified the most prominent differences between the “Corona” virus, influenza and colds, indicating that it is difficult to differentiate between them in terms of symptoms, because they may be mild or severe symptoms.
The ministry said that in the winter, viral diseases abound, such as colds, influenza and “Corona”, indicating that there are several viruses that may cause colds, and often the common symptoms, such as coughing, runny or stuffy nose, are simple and do not require a visit to the hospital.
She indicated that the common symptoms of “Corona”, such as shortness of breath, loss of the senses of smell and taste, and congestion in the throat, may cause serious complications, and completing vaccination doses contributes to the prevention of these symptoms.
She added that common influenza symptoms, such as headaches, general lethargy, chills and a feeling of cold, may cause pneumonia, and there is a way to prevent complications by taking the seasonal influenza vaccination.
