The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Public Health, Head of the Hajj Preparatory Committees, Dr. Hani Jokhdar, said that the follow-up of epidemic and infectious diseases is carried out with a careful monitoring system to monitor the spread of these diseases, to ensure that diseases do not spread among the pilgrims.

Jokhdar explained that the Ministry of Health has one of the most powerful systems in the world that maintain crowds safety. Due to the strong monitoring and follow-up that it possesses in the areas of epidemic diseases.

And he indicated that the ministry’s command and control room can monitor all work in all health facilities, and deal with hospital systems and health centers in the Mashaer region, the holy capital, Medina, Jeddah, Taif and Al Baha.

He added that the Ministry of Health added this year the Virtual Medicine Program, which is virtual clinics that provide services to patients of the pilgrims. With the aim of supporting doctors in other areas outside Makkah Al-Mukarramah.

He pointed out that the most visited cases are heat stress cases, which is the highest diagnosis, followed by other injuries such as wounds, fractures, respiratory diseases, heat stroke, diabetes, stress, asthma, and others.
