The official spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Muhammad Al-Abdali, said that seasonal flu activity during these days may be stronger than previous seasons.
The spokesman explained in a live broadcast today (Saturday) that seasonal influenza may lead to death, so this virus must be confronted with preventive methods, the most important of which is taking the seasonal influenza vaccine, as it protects by 80% from severe symptoms and reducing critical cases.
And he indicated that an increasing number of patients have been monitored in the emergency departments due to injury, so everyone must be careful not to be exposed to rain and cold currents.
And he stressed the need to take all necessary preventive measures in the event of infection with the virus to limit the transmission of infection to others, by wearing a mask and maintaining a sufficient distance between him and others.
He explained that it is important to provide the necessary preventive precautions, especially for the elderly, pregnant women, children under 5 years, and people with chronic diseases.
