The ministry explained that the golden habits of the kidneys are to exercise regularly for at least 150 minutes per week, drink sufficient amounts of fluid at a rate of two liters per day, eat healthy food, vegetables and fruits on a daily basis, and reduce the intake of salt, sugar, and soda.
She added that the ideal weight must be maintained (the ideal physical mass is less than 25), and be sure to check blood pressure periodically, and check the level of sugar in the blood at least once a year for people without diabetes.
She emphasized avoiding smoking; It increases the deposition of oxidants harmful to the kidneys, causes blockage of the renal arteries, and increases the incidence of kidney cancer.
The ministry stipulated the need to stay away from the factors that cause kidney failure, including the excessive use of pain relievers, herbal medicines, and protein products that build muscle, and to ensure that the annual examination of kidney function is carried out, especially for those who have one of the risk factors such as: pressure diseases, diabetes, obesity, to The side of the genetic factor, and the injury of a family member with kidney failure.
