The Ministry of Health reviewed the most important information regarding the symptoms of myopia, methods of coping with it and its treatment, and the groups most at risk of developing it.
The Ministry stated that myopia is one of the most common types of refractive defects, as the affected person sees close objects clearly while it is difficult for him to see distant objects.
She pointed out that children and those in adulthood are among the groups most vulnerable to the disease, in addition to those who have a family history related to myopia.
She pointed out that the symptoms include: difficulty seeing distant objects, headaches as a result of eyestrain, blinking and constantly rubbing the eyes, as myopia can be treated and adapted through medical glasses, contact lenses, or refractive surgery.
