The Ministry of Health highlighted the symptoms that appear in the winter season for people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, in light of the effect of cold weather on the air flow leaving the lungs.

The ministry stated that the symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in winter include “difficulty speaking and catching one’s breath, and the lips or nails turning blue or gray.”
