The Ministry of Health issued a set of important advice for asthma patients when it rains, coinciding with the rainy situation in most regions of the Kingdom.
The Ministry advised patients to be careful to avoid rain and cold air as much as possible, as they are irritants to asthma, and to cover the head, mouth and nose when they have to go out, and to carry an emergency inhaler (bronchodilator) permanently, while taking a preventive spray in case the doctor prescribes it.
And she stressed the need to go to the nearest emergency center in the event of failure to respond to the first aid spray, and the occurrence of blueness in the extremities, lips and tongue, and the exacerbation of symptoms and the inability to breathe or speak.
