News 24 | Gulf Health warns of the dangers of obesity on children… and 5 damages to its sufferers

The Health Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has warned of the risk of obesity in children, as it is linked to the possibility of exposure to other diseases, including type 2 diabetes.

The council indicated that 39 million children under the age of five are overweight or obese, indicating that it may affect them through high blood pressure and cholesterol, joint pain, anxiety, depression and lack of self-confidence.

He noted that the main cause of obesity is related to lifestyle, such as lack of physical activity and a diet rich in calories, fats and sugar.
