The Health Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council states the most prominent benefits of Karak tea, pointing to its wide popularity in the Gulf countries during the winter period.
The council explained that karak tea contains cardamom, which is useful in relieving flatulence and stomach cramps, and it also contains antibacterial agents that help get rid of bad breath.
He added that karak tea also contains ginger, which contributes to reducing nausea and preventing several diseases, including heart diseases, because it contains antioxidants.
He also pointed out that the preparation of karak tea differs from one region to another, but it is often prepared by boiling tea leaves and adding milk, with flavors such as cardamom, saffron, cinnamon or ginger.
He advised choosing an unsweetened type of milk to add to the tea, in addition to letting it boil on a low heat for regarding 15 minutes, while avoiding adding sugar and contenting itself with natural flavors to enhance the flavor of karak.
