The Health Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council has provided several tips and instructions for asthma sufferers, indicating the difference between “emergency and preventive” asthma sprays, and when to use them during the month of Ramadan.
The council explained that the emergency asthma spray works to expand the airways, and is used when asthma exacerbates and treats acute symptoms, and it does not break the fast during the month of Ramadan.
And he indicated that the preventive asthma spray is used regularly daily as prescribed by the doctor, and it controls the development of symptoms and reduces the chance of attacks, noting that it is taken between the time of Iftar and the time of Suhoor.
