The Director of Public Health at the Gulf Health Council, Dr. Ahmed Al-Ammar, warned once morest consuming “cornflakes” for children, stressing that it contains high amounts of sugar.
He explained, during an intervention on the “An-Nahar” program on the “Al-Ekhbariya” channel, that adding milk to oats is beneficial for the health of the body in general, but at the present time it is mixed with high amounts of sugars or fats.
He added that it is wrong to rely on “cornflakes” as a basic meal for children, but it is preferable to rely on it alongside other nutrients, taking into account the child’s diet and its contents.
