The Food and Drug General Authority responded to an inquiry regarding the damage caused by soft drinks, and the extent of the possibility of banning the circulation of such drinks in the Kingdom.

The authority stressed that the reason for not banning soft drinks is that all the ingredients used in them are considered safe, and have been evaluated by reliable international bodies.

She pointed out that the damage caused by these drinks occurs due to increased consumption and a decrease in their nutritional value.
