Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Finance announced the actual results of the budget performance for the second quarter of the fiscal year 1443/1444 AH (2022 AD).
She explained that revenues amounted to 370.3 billion riyals, while expenses amounted to 292.4 billion riyals, with a surplus of 77.9 billion riyals.
The figures showed details of the actual revenues for the second quarter, as oil revenues came to 250.3 billion riyals, while non-oil revenues amounted to 120 billion riyals, including taxes on goods and services 64.2 billion riyals, and other revenues of 20.2 billion riyals.
It also showed details of actual expenditures for the second quarter of the fiscal year 1443/1444 AH (2022 AD), where the highest workers’ compensation came with 125.9 billion riyals, followed by the use of goods and services 65.3 billion, and social benefits 29.3 billion.
She added that the actual revenues of the budget for the first half of the fiscal year 1443 / 1444 AH (2022 AD) amounted to 648.3 billion riyals, and expenditures of 512.9 billion riyals, with a surplus of 135.3 billion riyals.
She indicated that the budget approval for the public sectors, and the actual expenditure for the first half of the 2022 fiscal year, showed that the military sector came first with 105.1 billion riyals, followed by health and social development 99.5 billion, education 98.3 billion, public items 68.9 billion, security and administrative regions 49.6 billion.
The balance of the state’s general reserve until the end of the first half of the fiscal year 1443 / 1444 AH (2022 AD) amounted to 318.6 billion riyals, while the current account balance at the end of the period amounted to 131.4 billion riyals.
As for the public debt, until the end of the first half of the fiscal year 1443 / 1444 AH (2022 AD), it amounted to 966.5 billion at the end of the period (604.7 billion internal debt and 361.7 billion external debt), following it was 938 billion at the beginning of the period, (558.7 billion internal debt and 379.2 billion debt). The issuance or borrowing amounted to 83 billion riyals of internal debt, and the repayment of the principal debt amounted to 36.9 for internal debt, and 17.5 for external debt.
