The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture announced that owners and herders of camels and livestock owned by non-Saudis will be given a grace period of 7 months, starting today (Saturday); to return their animals to their countries.

The ministry stated that these measures come within its efforts to preserve the vegetation cover, by reducing the risk of overgrazing and the deterioration of natural pastures, and to achieve the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative to preserve the environment and enhance the utilization of vital resources in the Kingdom.

And she stressed that following the expiration of the deadline at the end of next August, all entry permits for non-compliance will be canceled, and the reproduction rate will be cancelled, in addition to applying the mechanism for exporting camels and live livestock to grazing livestock.
