The professor at the Faculty of Sharia at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, Sheikh Saad Al-Khathlan, explained the impact of washing hands or clothes with alcohol, which is found in sterilizers, on the health of prayer.
Al-Khathlan said during one of the episodes of the “Istiftoonak” program on the “Al-Resala” channel, that the majority of sterilizers are without alcohol, so their use has nothing to do with it, and the basis for it is purity.
He added that there is another issue related to sterilizers that contain alcohol and the extent to which it is permissible to wash hands before prayer and whether it affects the validity of prayer in that case.
He pointed out that the scholars differed over the extent of the impurity of alcohol or its purity, but the closest is that it is not impure; Because there is no apparent evidence for that, so prayer is valid in that case.
Important clarification from Sheikh d. Saad Al-Khathlan regarding alcohol in sterilizers, and does it affect purity and ablution?#wonderfull#the message@TheAdmiralDayhttps://t.co/kcOPZYzPYC pic.twitter.com/eGolsxSLjo
