The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Preventive Health, Dr. Abdullah Asiri, confirmed that the number of deaths resulting from the Corona virus decreased significantly following taking the anti-virus vaccine.
By comparing direct Corona deaths per 100,000 positive samples among the three waves that the Kingdom witnessed, Asiri explained that the first wave of the main virus and then the “alpha” mutant witnessed 267.6 deaths, indicating that there were no anti-virus vaccines at that time.
He added that the second wave of the virus, along with the “delta” mutant, witnessed 99.3 deaths, pointing out that the campaign to give anti-Coronavirus vaccines was in its infancy.
He noted that the third wave and the “Omicron” mutant witnessed a significant decrease in the death rate, reaching 1.4 deaths, due to the coverage of 70% of society members with anti-viral vaccines.
