News 24 | Days after his daughter bid farewell to her father’s house, the house of the late artist Talal Maddah was excluded from the removal work in Jeddah

Ikhlas Maddah, the daughter of the late artist Talal Maddah, revealed that all demolition work had been stopped from their father’s house, which is located in the slums that witnessed the demolition work south of Jeddah.

Ikhlas had bid farewell 24 days ago to her father’s house, following she and her siblings recalled the memories stuck in their minds, and what remained for them from their father before the scheduled removal of the house located within the slums.

His son, the late artist, confirmed toNews 24“, that they demanded the exclusion of their father’s house and the removal of the decision to remove it, noting that there are several parties and people who contributed a lot to this decision.

And regarding what was circulated regarding their desire to make their father’s house a museum in the future, she explained that the decision not to remove was issued now and they do not want to rush to talk regarding other matters until all aspects of the decision are completed.

It is noteworthy that the efforts of the Jeddah Municipality, Dr. Manal Al-Sheikh from the King Abdulaziz House and Dr. Ahmed Al-Arfaj, contributed to the decision to exclude the house of the artist Talal Maddah from the removal work in Jeddah.
