As of tomorrow, Sunday, the imposition of a financial compensation of 9,600 riyals will begin on domestic workers of more than 4 workers per person.
On March 8, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced the issuance of the Cabinet’s decision to impose a financial compensation on each member of domestic workers that exceeds 4 workers for a Saudi individual.
The decision also included imposing a financial compensation on 2 resident domestic workers with the same amount for each additional worker annually, with the exception of humanitarian cases such as medical care and care for people with special needs.
The ministry indicated that the application will take place in two phases, the first of which will be on 10/21/1443 AH, on new incoming domestic workers for those who have more than 4 domestic workers for the Saudi individual, and 2 for the resident.
While the second phase starts from the date of 10/21/1444 AH, for new and existing domestic workers that exceed 4 for Saudis, and 2 for residents.
