The decision of the Public Transport Authority to compel drivers of public fare, airport fare and special fare, and drivers of passenger transport applications to wear the designated uniforms that it recently adopted, entered into force as of today (Tuesday).
Under this decision, the driver is required to wear the national dress or a shirt and long pants, while taxi drivers are only required to wear pants and a black belt, a long-sleeved gray shirt and with an identification card.
The authority also allowed taxi drivers to wear a jacket or coat as needed, while the dress code for women is an abaya or a shirt and long pants with a jacket or coat.
The Public Transport Authority confirmed that this comes within the periodic and continuous update on the activities and services of taxi transport and passenger transport applications, calling on workers and those interested in these services to visit its website to view the details of the approved uniform, as well as the possibility of calling the unified number 1929.
It is noteworthy that adherence to this uniform will be a prerequisite for practicing these activities in accordance with the provisions of the regulations regulating the activity of the fare broker, the fare broker and the direction.
