The Food and Drug General Authority confirmed that paper straws are among the materials allowed to be used with food if they comply with the requirements contained in the Saudi regulation related to food packages.
The authority noted thatNews 24“, to the need not to use paper straws for other than the purposes for which they were intended, and not to expose them to factors affecting their safety, such as using them with hot drinks.
It confirmed that it implements many programs and studies related to the safety of materials in contact with food, in order to ensure their safety and compliance with approved regulations and specifications.
