The Gulf Health Council reviewed the difference between e-cigarettes and regular cigarettes in terms of the harm that each causes to human health.
He explained that electronic cigarettes are less harmful than regular cigarettes in terms of compounds only, but they still contain carcinogens and may cause lung infections and other damage, and are considered harmful and severe as well.
He stressed that recent studies have indicated that those who use electronic cigarettes use regular cigarettes with them, which has a greater impact on human health.
The council demanded that the correct, scientifically and medically sound steps be taken to quit smoking, by reviewing private clinics specialized in quitting smoking.
