Al-Ahly club chairman, Majed Al-Nafie, spoke regarding his team’s fall to the first division, “Yellow League”, following bidding farewell to the professional league competitions in the last round of the championship in which the Al-Hilal team was crowned.
Majed Al-Nafie said, in statements to the “Action with Walid” program: “Landing is not an easy thing and it is unbelievable.
He explained: “We pledged to return Al-Ahly to the professional league. We receive 100 million support, of which 76 million went to debt. The legacy is not easy and the debt is beyond imagination, and the Ministry knows this. No sane person believes that there is a conspiracy to bring down the team. We will come back stronger.”
Al-Nafiei added: “Our biggest obstacle was the inability to pay the debts to the players, including the precursors of previous contracts.. Moussa Al-Muhayani continues with the team.. Most of what I heard from the players: How will you pay while you are in the first division?”
