The Food and Drug Authority commented on what was circulated regarding Egypt’s decision to withdraw Indomie instant noodles; On the pretext that it contains a percentage of pesticides.
The authority confirmed that all imported and local food products offered in the market are subject to its requirements, and that it monitors all imported food products before and during their arrival in the Kingdom, to ensure their safety and the approved standard specifications.
It is noteworthy that the National Food Safety Authority in Egypt has given Indomie 48 hours to withdraw its products from the market, following it became clear that there was a percentage of pesticides in the instant noodles spices, following samples were taken and analyzed.
