News 24 | A specialist reveals the dangers of ketchup and mayonnaise on children’s health (video)

Today (Friday), a specialist in exercise physiology, Dr. Muhammad Al-Ahmadi, revealed the danger of some preserved foods, such as ketchup and mayonnaise, to the health of children, due to their preservatives and high levels of harmful substances in the body.

Al-Ahmadi explained in an interview with the “From Saudi Arabia” program broadcast on the Saudi channel, that ketchup contains high percentages of substances that pose a danger to children’s health, including: “preservatives, flavorings, improvers, artificial colors, vinegar, and salt,” as well as About 25% of its ingredients are sugar.

With regard to mayonnaise, Al-Ahmadi described it as “disastrous”, because 75% of its ingredients contain fat, which affects the physical health of children and makes them more likely to be obese and overweight, given that most ready-made food stores serve more of it with each meal.

During the meeting, Al-Ahmadi recounted the experience of one of his friends with his daughter in a shawarma restaurant in London, where he stated that the restaurant refused to provide more mayonnaise with the girl’s meal, due to its commitment to a certain number of calories for each meal served to children in the restaurant.
