Assistant Professor of Anesthesia and Intensive Care, Dr. Nasser Tawfiq, explained the symptoms of the medical condition of people in intensive care due to infection with the Corona virus.
He stressed, during an intervention on the “An-Nahar” program on the “Al-Ekhbariya” channel, that inpatients in intensive care suffer from the impact of the virus infecting the lungs, which hinders them from breathing normally.
He added that if the lungs fail to do the breathing process, this requires placing a tube to do this for a period ranging from 5 to 10 days, noting that some cases may suffer from heart or kidney failure, which leads to their stay for long periods in intensive care.
