News 24 | A dermatologist explains the effect of wearing a shemagh and the psychological state on hair loss

Dermatologist and plastic surgeon, Muhammad Al-Shaya, explained the impact of the psychological condition and the head covering with “shemagh” on hair loss.

Al-Shaya said during his meeting with the “Yahla” program on the “Rotana Khaleejia” channel, that “stress hair loss” occurs as a result of the body’s exposure to a psychological shock or a specific disease, noting that the body distributes its energy to the most needy organs such as the heart and brain, which leads for hair loss.

He added that the use of cold and hot water to wash the hair does not cause hair loss, pointing out that the use of “shemagh” and the head covering has nothing to do with hair loss, according to what was confirmed by many data.
