Dr. Khaled Al-Nimr, a consultant and professor of cardiology and arterial catheterization, warned once morest deliberately joking with a heart patient in order to avoid any sudden effects on the latter’s health.
Al-Nimr demonstrated this by mentioning a situation that occurred between an adolescent and his heart-sick mother, when a joke from the first regarding her health condition caused a medical crisis for her.
He pointed out that the diabetic patient suffered from a panic attack, shortness of breath, numbness in the extremities, and fear of going to the emergency, stressing that the diseases and their indicators are not a suitable topic for joking.
