The New Zealand team under the leadership of Tom Latham reached Lahore for the series of ODI and T20 matches.
The T20 series between Pakistan and New Zealand begins on April 14, followed by the ODI series on April 26.
In a video posted on the official Twitter page of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the New Zealand cricket team is shown arriving in Pakistan and going to the hotel.
In this regard, it was informed that the New Zealand team has reached Lahore for the white ball series.
Between the two teams, a series of 5-match T20 and one-day matches will be played.
The first match of the 5-match T20 series will be played in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore on April 14, after which the second and third T20 will also be played in Lahore on April 15 and April 17 respectively.
The fourth and fifth matches of the T20 series will be played in Rawalpindi on April 20 and April 24.
The first 2 matches of the ODI series will also be played in Rawalpindi, the first match of the series will be played on April 26 and the second match on April 30.
Both the teams will play the remaining three matches of the one-day series in Karachi where the third one-day match will start on May 3 at 2 pm at the National Cricket Arena Karachi.
The third match of the ODI series will be played on May 5 and the fourth match on May 7.
All the matches of the ODI series will be day and night and the match will start at 2 pm.
Ahead of the New Zealand team’s arrival, the Islamabad Police said it was ‘fully equipped’ to provide foolproof and world-class security to the New Zealand cricket team in Pakistan.
In a statement on Twitter, Islamabad Police said that the Federal Police will provide full security in Islamabad and Rawalpindi along with other stakeholders.
It may be recalled that the New Zealand team left the tour of Pakistan incomplete two years ago due to security concerns, after which it visited Pakistan last year for the Test series and now it has returned to Pakistan for the short-style series.
In the series, the visiting team is without the services of experienced captain Kane Williamson, who has been ruled out not only for the current series but also for the ICC World Cup due to injury.
In Williamson’s absence, wicketkeeper Tom Latham has been entrusted with the leadership.
