New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 09 wickets

In the second T20, New Zealand easily defeated Pakistan by 9 wickets to clinch the series. In the match played in Hamilton, New Zealand achieved the target of 164 runs given by Pakistan for the loss of only one wicket.

New Zealand’s only bowlers were Martin Guptill who was dismissed for 21, Tim Seifert for 84 and Kiwi captain Kane Williamson for 57.

Thanks to Mohammad Hafeez’s brilliant innings of 99 runs, Pakistan set New Zealand a target of 164 runs to win the second T20I.

Earlier, Pakistan captain Shadab Khan won the toss and decided to bat first. Haider Ali and Mohammad Rizwan opened the innings for Pakistan but in the second over, Tim Southee first dismissed Haider Ali and then Abdullah Shafiq.

Mohammad Rizwan was also caught behind the wickets for 22 runs on a total score of 33. Shadab Khan and Khushdil Shah and Faheem Ashraf also failed to perform well.

On the one hand, wickets continued to fall, on the other hand, experienced Mohammad Hafeez continued to increase his and his team’s score and remained not out by scoring 99 runs with the help of two sixes and a four in the last over.

Pakistan scored 163 runs for the loss of 6 players in the allotted 20 overs while New Zealand’s Tim Southee dismissed 4 players.

After winning the toss, national team captain Shadab Khan said that the wicket is good for batting and they will try to set a good target on this wicket.

He said that the team consists of mostly young players and no changes have been made in the national team.

It should be noted that New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets in the first match and took a 0-0 lead in the three-match series.
