New York stocks close Nasdaq higher on falling Treasury yields

  • New York stocks rose as Treasury yields fell despite earnings warnings from target retailers.

    At the New York Stock Exchange on the 7th local time, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 33,180.14, up 264.36P or 0.80% from the previous day.

    The Standard & Poor’s and S&P 500 index closed at 4,160.68, up 39.25 points, or 0.95% from the previous day, and the Nasdaq, centered on technology stocks, closed at 12,175.23, up 113.86 points or 0.94% from the battlefield.

    New York stock market experts say the stock market is adding to volatility as investors struggle to navigate between slowing inflation and the possibility of a recession.
