NEW YORK കുട്ടികളെ New York Mayor Adams said in an order issued Thursday, June 9, that children between the ages of two and four are exempt from wearing the mask. The order will take effect from Monday.
The mayor said Kovid’s prevalence in New York City has dropped by 26 percent in the past two weeks. At the same time, the World Health Organization (WHO) has strongly opposed the use of masks by children under 5 years of age.
The mayor’s order comes two weeks before the school closes.
The reduction in the number of Kovid patients is cited as another reason for avoiding the mask.
Health officials say schools are the best place to protect children from disease. Parents also staged demonstrations and protests demanding that children not be allowed to wear masks.
