A man was killed after being hit by a train outside Citi Field in New York on Saturday night.
According to local media, it was an alleged suicide.
A train operator witnessed the man walk onto a footbridge and lie down on the tracks in front of a southbound 7 train.

Due to the man’s sudden action, the transit worker was unable to stop in time at the Mets-Willets Point train station. The incident occurred around 6 p.m., the New York police said.
The deceased, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
The incident caused seven trains in both directions to be delayed for hours as fans left the ballpark, according to the MTA.

By 8:30 p.m., regular service on the 7 train was back on track with some residual delays, a spokesman said.
The Long Island Rail Road, which also stops at the Mets-Willets Point station, was not affected, El Diario NY reported.
