The New York Jets will be featured in this year’s edition of Hard Knocks, sources tell Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Viewers will have the opportunity to watch quarterback Aaron Rodgers, defensive lineman Quinnen Williams and reigning offensive rookie of the year wide receiver Garrett Wilson prepare for the 2023 season. The Jets open camp July 19.
New York has resisted being featured. Head coach Robert Saleh said in June his team wasn’t thrilled with the idea of being featured in the series.
However, only teams that have a new head coach, have made the playoffs in the past two seasons, or have appeared on the show Hard Knocks in the past 10 years cannot be forced to participate. Consequently, the Jets or the Chicago Bears, the New Orleans Saints or the Washington Commanders could be forced to participate in the broadcast.
But only one of those teams has picked up four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers this offseason. So the NFL Films cameras will be filming the training camp in New York and it’s going to be exciting.
