New York Comic Con 2023 has finally arrived and this article will gather all the biggest announcements from the show to ensure you don’t miss a thing.

NYCC started off strong with the reveal of a brand new Dragon Ball series in Dragon Ball: Daima, two big reveals from the universe of The Walking Dead, and much more.

New Dragon Ball Series, Dragon Ball: Daima, Confirmed for Fall 2024

A brand-new Dragon Ball series called Dragon Ball: Daima was announced at NYCC with a fall 2024 release window. A short teaser for the series was shown, and it includes a de-aged Goku, Vegeta, Bulma, and many more.

Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama will be drawing the series and it will feature an original story “never told in Dragon Ball.” Toriyama was also confirmed to be involved in Daima “beyond his usual capacity.”

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Gets Premiere Month, New Teaser, and Additional Cast

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, the upcoming spin-off starring Andrew Lincoln’s Rick and Danai Gurira’s Michonne, recieved a teaser trailer, a premiere month of February 2024, and cast announcements.

The new cast members include Pollyanna McIntosh’s Jadis, Lost’s Terry O’Quinn as Beale, and Matt Jeffries’ Nat.

Carol Will Officially Return in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2

Melissa McBride is officially returning to the world of The Walking Dead as Carol will be joining Norman Reedus’ Daryl Dixon in Season 2 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. That’s not all, as the show will now be known as The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol when it premieres in 2024.

The plan for this series was originally to star both Reedus and McBride, but McBride mightn’t relocate to Europe for filming and the focus of the show shifted to Reedus. Now, the show we were originally promised is closer than ever!

For All Mankind: Season 4 Official Trailer Revealed

Apple TV+’s For All Manking is returning for its fourth season on November 10, 2023, and NYCC shared a brand-new trailer of the much-anticipated episodes that are set eight years following Season 3.

DC Revives the Elseworlds Imprint With 6 New Series

DC Comics is officially bringing back its popular Elseworlds imprint that will take fans back into twisted alternate versions of the DC Universe. This new line will feature six new titles at the start, and it will include continutations of classic Elseworlds stories like Batman: Gotham by Gaslight alongside new stories.

The lineup includes Andy Diggle & Leandro Fernandez’s Gotham by Gaslight: The Kryptonian Age, Greg Smallwood’s Batman the Barbarian, Jay Kristoff & Tirso Cons’ Dark Knights of Steel: Allwinter, Tate Brombal & Werther Dell’Edera’s Green Lantern: Dark, Clay Mann & Seth Mann’s Batman: Nightfire, and Matthew Rosenberg & Otto Schmidt’s DC vs. Vampires: World War V.

Earth Defense Force 6 will be released in spring 2024 for PS5 and PC, and a new trailer gives fans a tease of to what to expect from this game that sees the EDF once once more protecting our planet from aliens.

The Strangers Trilogy Director, Producer Reveal Ambitious Plans for the Horror Project

Director Renny Harlin and producer Courtney Solomon stopped by NYCC to share their ambitious plans for The Strangers trilogy. The Strangers: Chapter 1 will be the first film in the trilogy, but all three movies have already been filmed and, if all goes according to plan, will be released in 2024.

These films will serve as an extension of the franchise that began in 2008 with Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman as the stars, and Chapter 1 will star Madelaine Petsch and Froy Gutierrez. These two embark on a cross-country journey to start a new life in the Pacific Northwest, but that journey gets interrupted by criminals in creepy masks.

Details on the second and third movie were scarce, but it was confirmed that all three films will take place over just a few days and that the third film will reveal the origin of the Strangers from the 2008 original.
