South African actress and model Charlbi Dean died on Monday at the age of 32 in a New York hospital of an “unexpected sudden illness”. This is reported by the US portal «Deadline».
Dean was best known for her role in the film “Triangle of Sadness”. The film by Ruben Östlund was awarded the Palme d’Or in Cannes. The actress celebrated the award on Instagram: “Congratulations family, we did it!!!” Director Östlund is “forever grateful that you trust me to be part of your genius,” she wrote. Filming meant “that I had the best year in one of the hardest times of my life.”
Charlbi Dean got engaged to her boyfriend Luke Chase Volker just four months ago. The couple had been together for four years. Volker had proposed to Dean on the same street in Manhattan where the two had kissed for the first time.
