Warm air from South Florida will bring pleasant temperatures on New Year’s Eve in the Washington DC area.
According to Telemundo 44 meteorologist, Joseph Martínez, the thermometer might reach high 50 degrees for Saturday but if he envisions that for Sunday, New Year’s Day, the maximum temperature will be 62 degrees.
“This increase is due to the arrival of warm air from the south of the country that will be recovering those values in the thermometer following the arctic air that was accompanying us during the past weekend,” he explained.
However, the arrival of a severe weather system will bring rain Saturday followingnoon through early Sunday morning.
Precipitation is expected to have moved completely away from the area by Sunday following 1 p.m.
The 60s might return by Tuesday and Wednesday of the first week of January, according to the forecaster.
