LINZ. You can not only enjoy the turn of the year in the Brucknerhaus with the operetta classic “The Bird Trader”, but from 10 p.m. there is also a New Year’s Eve party in the Brucknerhaus foyer (with free entry).
From 10 p.m. the Brucknerhaus opens the doors for a New Year’s Eve party with live music. Musical accompaniment and culinary delights are provided: Guests can enjoy the buffets in the foyers, where drinks and smaller culinary snacks from the Bruckner’s restaurant are offered.
At midnight, the pummerin’s ringing will be switched on live, following which the Danube Waltz will sound, with the sounds of which you can dance into the New Year with vigor.
The jazz band “Swing aRound” provides the musical accompaniment to the New Year’s Eve party.
Cultural enjoyment in advance
In advance, the Brucknerhaus invites you to the big New Year’s Eve concert, with Carl Zeller’s operetta classic “The Bird Trader”. The host, Brucknerhaus director Dietmar Kerschbaum, will portray Adam, the bird dealer from Tyrol, on stage. Theresa Grabner plays the letter Christl, Renate Pitscheider can be seen as the elector. The Johann Strauß Ensemble plays under the direction of Andreas Schüller. Directed by Susanne Sommer.
