New World TV and FIFA form the Channels ahead of the 2022 World Cup

A little over a month before the start of the 2022 World Cup, the television group New World TV, holder of exclusive broadcasting rights in Africa, brought together an audience of journalists from all over the continent to a “methodological seminar” organized in collaboration with FIFA.

It is in the presence of Wilfried Mbappé, father of Kylian, Emmanuel Adebayor or even Christian Jean-Pierre, some of the key figures who will comment on the matches and representatives of the 43 African television channels which have acquired the broadcasting rights that the Togolese channel opened this seminar with the world football body.

“New World TV partner of FIFA for the Qatar 2022 World Cup has seen fit to bring together all the countries that have obtained a sub-licence for the broadcasting of this competition in order to train them on the technique and the edition. These free-to-air channels are there to see a coordination between the central production of New World TV and to know how to organize for the big meeting in Qatar”explained Me Louis Biyao, legal adviser to New World TV, assuring that the Channel is “technically ready for the broadcast of the 64 matches of the 2022 World Cup”

As for the other channels, they will broadcast in free access, 28 matches of the competition. As a reminder, the 2022 World Cup will be held from November 21 to December 18 in Qatar.
