Pakistan has decided in view of the threat of the spread of the new variant of the corona virus JN-1 in the country that tests will be conducted on those coming to the country, while the relevant authorities have also been instructed to be extremely vigilant.

The National Institute of Health (NIH), a national organization related to health issues, has issued instructions in a statement that two percent of passengers coming from abroad will be tested for Corona.

Last week, Pakistan’s Caretaker Health Minister Nadeem Jan told Independent Urdu that the government’s preparations to deal with the new variant are complete.

However, Pakistani authorities have said that no case of JN-1 virus has been reported in the country so far.

According to the Federal Ministry of Health, 200,000 Pfizer vaccines will be provided to Pakistan from the United States to deal with the Corona virus and Pfizer’s new ‘vaccine is expected to arrive in the first week of February this year.’

After the first case of the Covid-19 (coronavirus) virus in Pakistan in early 2020, by the first quarter of 2022, more than 30,000 people had died while millions were infected.

Vaccines sent by the United States and China to combat the virus and strict government decisions to restrict movement helped contain Covid-19 at the time.
