The Brussels-Capital/Ixelles police zone now has a brand new training center, located on avenue De Béjar in Neder-over-Heembeek, not far from the Solvay military hospital and industry. This spacious infrastructure was inaugurated on Saturday. It has two shooting ranges, a dojo for training in self-defense techniques and even a hangar to simulate intervention operations.
The building, named K9-4 PolBru, also houses numerous rooms for theoretical training courses. It is now operational and opened its doors to the public on Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Visitors were able to discover the premises and benefit from demonstrations by the canine brigade and the intervention brigade of the Brussels-Capital/Ixelles police zone.

The site has in particular two shooting ranges at the point, to allow you to practice long-range shooting (50 meters) and short-distance shooting (30 meters), with 180-degree vision.
It is also equipped with a dojo for practicing self-defense gestures and for practicing the arrest procedure, as well as a large hangar for large-scale intervention exercises, but also an outdoor area with anti-Molotov flooring to carry out exercises with flammable products in complete safety.
The place will also house the canine brigade. The two old kennels, located in Bois de la Cambre and in Parc d’Osseghem, will be closed and all the dogs will be grouped together in this building. It has enough space for 50 dogs as well as training areas for them, both indoors and outdoors.
