Riyadh – Seven more traffic violations will be recorded automatically through cameras in Saudi Arabia with the aim of reducing traffic accidents. Spokesperson of the Public Security Division, Lt. General Muhammad Al-Bassami released the information regarding this. Along with the cameras, traffic police and highway safety department will be there to monitor the newly added violations. Lt. Lt. Major Mohammed Al Bassami added.

Driving on roadsides and footpaths beyond yellow lines, driving on prohibited tracks, not showing lights at night and in weather conditions that reduce visibility, trucks and heavy vehicles not keeping right on dual carriageways, not obeying rules on public roads, driving with damaged or illegible number plates, parking vehicles in unauthorized areas, at vehicle weight and size checking centres. Automatic cameras will record failure to stop etc. The law will come into effect from Sunday.
