He said, the power system of this market is not right. Two-three more sub-shops were set up in the corridor with one shop allotment from the city corporation. Due to this the corridors are very narrow. As a result, the fire spread from one shop to another through cloth. Besides, we initially believe that the fire spread quickly due to plastic items and banners-posters.
Where did the fire start from? In response to the questions of the journalists, the fire service official said, initially we think that the fire started from the third floor. An inquiry committee has been formed to find out the real reason.
He said, the fire might not be fully extinguished yet. This is why the units are working. However, I can say with this much certainty that there is no danger of any major accident. Shops are still closed. What is the condition of the clothes inside, it cannot be said without opening the shop. We are working on it.
