After Ikea left the Russian market, several new points with the products of the Swedish concern appeared in Kaliningrad. Previously, it was more profitable to order such goods from the Moscow Ikea with delivery by regular mail. Now there is no alternative left – everything is brought from Poland.

Entrepreneurs expand their business and promise an uninterrupted supply of Ikea products. There are at least four stores in Kaliningrad, and one more is regarding to open. In the presence of mainly goods for the home, but under the order they promise to bring almost everything.


Small shops with goods from Ikea worked in Kaliningrad before. In their assortment there were mainly popular items – dishes, children’s goods, household trifles. Often they cost more than in the Russian Ikea, but there was no need to wait. Another plus of such points is the ability to order bulky items that might not be delivered by Russian Post.

Now there is practically no alternative. Certain goods from Ikea appeared on Russian marketplaces, but their prices have already become a reason for memes.

Currently, at least four outlets with the goods of the Swedish concern operate in Kaliningrad. Prices in local stores are significantly higher than in the official Ikea.

For example, a children’s table with chairs is sold for 4,000 rubles, in Poland – 119 zł (1,440 rubles at the exchange rate of the Central Bank). For a set of dishes of 24 items in Kaliningrad, you will have to pay 6000-6500, and in Gdansk 169 zlotys (2028 rubles). However, even with such a difference, demand remains stable, and even grows following the closure of stores in Russia. Therefore, new outlets began to appear in Kaliningrad. About a month ago, the store opened in the Victoria shopping center on Kalinin Avenue. In stock – all the same dishes, children’s products and other little things. If the assortment does not suit you, you can place an order from a Polish hypermarket.

Delivery time – from two weeks to a month. The cost is 70 rubles per kilogram. The rate is calculated at the time of the order – it is regularly updated. As of June 28, the Polish zloty was valued at 16 rubles.

“They order a variety of items. Right now we are taking facades to the kitchen, cabinets, chairs and so on. We introduced a conditional minimum order limit of 15 kilograms so that people do not choose several dozen small items. Crockery and small household appliances can be bought on the spot,” the store said.

Another point of sale of goods from Ikea will soon open on Krasnoselskaya Street. The owners already have a store on Dachnaya Street – now they have decided to expand.

The assortment at this point is similar. Furniture is delivered to order. The cost is 60 rubles per kilogram plus 10% of the price of the goods. The zloty exchange rate is determined at the time of the order. The cargo is promised to be delivered in two to three weeks.

Next to the shopping center “Victoria” on Kalinina Avenue there is another store with products from the Gdansk “Ikea”. Here you can also order delivery, the term is called 10-14 days. The cost is 60 rubles per kilogram plus 10% of the price of the cargo.

You can also buy Swedish brand products near the Akorus shopping center on Promyshlennaya Street. Delivery from this carrier will cost 50 rubles per kilogram plus 10%, a period of regarding two weeks. The zloty exchange rate is also determined on the day of delivery.

After the growth of the ruble exchange rate, it became even more profitable to carry goods from the Polish Ikea. However, the merchants do not disclose their methods and delivery mechanisms. “It is possible that more and more such points will be opened. The main thing is that there is demand, and we are ready to provide supply, ”said one of the sellers.
